Abstract: Congestion control is a key problem in mobile ad-hoc networks. Thestandard TCP congestion control mechanism is not able to handle thespecial properties of a shared wireless multihop channel well. Inparticular the frequent changes of the network topology and the sharednature of the wireless channel pose significant challenges. Manyapproaches have been proposed to overcome these difficulties. In thispaper, we give an overview over existing proposals, explain their keyideas and show their interrelations.
